Last Updated: June 2026
This Subscription Transparency Policy explains how billing, renewals, cancellations, and premium access work within Strife.
Our goal is to ensure subscriptions are:
- clear
- fair
- easy to manage
- and fully transparent.
By purchasing a Strife subscription, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Subscription Plans
Strife may offer:
- free access tiers
- premium subscription plans
- limited-time trials
- promotional pricing
- or future premium feature tiers.
Premium subscriptions may include access to:
- unlimited simulations
- unlimited voice mode
- advanced archetypes
- custom scenarios
- role reversal mode
- advanced profile analysis
- behavioural tracking
- premium coaching systems
- and other premium features.
Current Strife Premium pricing is £7.99 per month. Current pricing is always displayed before purchase.
2. Billing
Subscriptions are billed and processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all Strife purchases. Paddle handles payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, and refunds.
Billing may occur:
- monthly
- annually
- or according to the selected subscription plan.
Before confirming payment, users will clearly see:
- subscription price
- billing frequency
- included features
- and renewal terms.
Strife does NOT store:
- full card numbers
- CVV codes
- or sensitive payment credentials.
Payments are handled securely by Paddle.
3. Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date.
By subscribing, users authorize recurring billing according to their selected plan.
Renewal charges will use the user's active payment method unless updated or cancelled beforehand.
4. Cancellation
Users may cancel subscriptions directly through the app's subscription management system.
The app provides:
- a visible cancellation option
- subscription management controls
- and payment method management tools.
Users are NOT required to email support in order to cancel subscriptions.
Before cancellation is completed, users will receive a confirmation prompt such as:
“Are you sure you want to cancel your Premium subscription? You will keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period, but you will not be charged again after cancellation.”
Once cancelled:
- future billing will stop
- and the subscription will not renew automatically.
Unless otherwise stated:
- users will retain Premium access until the end of the current billing cycle.
5. Updating Payment Methods
Users may manage billing information through the secure subscription management portal.
Depending on availability and payment provider support, users may:
- update debit/credit cards
- change payment methods
- manage recurring billing
- view invoices
- and review subscription status.
Supported payment methods may include:
- debit cards
- credit cards
- PayPal
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
depending on platform support.
6. Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- the payment provider may retry billing automatically
- Premium access may eventually be restricted
- or the subscription may be downgraded to the free plan.
Users are responsible for maintaining valid payment information.
7. Price Changes
Strife may change subscription pricing in the future.
If pricing changes occur:
- existing users may be notified in advance where required
- renewal pricing will be shown before future billing where applicable
- promotional or grandfathered pricing may remain available for eligible users
We reserve the right to:
- modify plans
- add/remove features
- or change subscription structures over time.
8. Refunds
Strife offers a free version so you can try the Service before purchasing Premium. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once Premium access has been granted, but you can cancel at any time to stop future billing while keeping access until the end of your current billing period.
Refund requests may be considered, at Strife's discretion and in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws, for situations such as duplicate charges, billing errors, unauthorised transactions, technical failures that prevent use of the Service, or other exceptional circumstances. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.
Refunds are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. To request a refund, visit paddle.net (use the link in your Paddle order receipt), or contact us at admin@usestrife.io and we will pass the request to Paddle on your behalf. Statutory consumer rights you may have are not affected.
See our Refund Policy for full details.
9. Free Trials & Promotional Access
Strife may occasionally offer:
- free trials
- temporary Premium access
- beta access
- promotional codes
- or early adopter pricing.
Unless clearly stated otherwise:
- promotional access may automatically convert into a paid subscription at the end of the promotional period.
Users will always be shown relevant billing information before payment begins.

Users may view:
- current plan
- billing status
- renewal status
- cancellation status
- and subscription expiry dates
within the account settings area.
