Account Deletion Policy

At Strife, we respect your right to control your personal data and account information.

This Account Deletion Policy explains how account deletion works and what happens to your information when you request deletion of your Strife account.

1. Requesting Account Deletion

To delete an account, select "Delete Account Data". From here, select "Permanently Delete Account".

2. What Happens When an Account Is Deleted

When an account is deleted, Strife will permanently remove or anonymize associated personal data where reasonably possible.

This may include:

  • account profile information
  • email address
  • saved simulations
  • profile analysis data
  • custom scenarios
  • role reversal data
  • simulation history
  • behavioural tracking information
  • saved settings
  • local cloud-synced preferences

Deleted accounts cannot normally be recovered.

3. Subscription Handling

If the user has an active paid subscription:

  • the subscription should first be cancelled through the payment provider
  • future billing should stop
  • and the user should be informed before account deletion proceeds.

Suggested warning:

“You currently have an active subscription. Deleting your account will also cancel future billing.”

Where technically possible:

  • Premium access may remain active until the current billing period ends,
  • OR access may end immediately depending on the payment provider's handling.

4. Retained Information

Certain limited records may be temporarily retained where required for:

  • legal compliance
  • fraud prevention
  • billing obligations
  • dispute resolution
  • or security purposes.

Examples may include:

  • payment transaction references
  • invoice records
  • abuse prevention logs
  • legal compliance records

We do not retain unnecessary personal behavioural data after deletion.

5. Local Device Data

If the user deletes their account:

  • local app data stored on the device may also be removed where possible.

However:

  • browser storage
  • cached files
  • or locally stored temporary data

may still require manual clearing by the user depending on device/browser behaviour.

6. Rejoining After Deletion

Users may create a new account later.

However:

  • deleted simulations
  • deleted profile tracking
  • and deleted behavioural analysis

cannot generally be restored after deletion is completed.

7. Processing Time

Account deletion requests are normally processed promptly, though some systems or backups may take additional time to fully clear.

8. Safety & Abuse Prevention

Strife reserves the right to retain limited internal records where necessary to:

  • investigate abuse
  • enforce platform safety
  • prevent fraud
  • or comply with legal obligations.

10. Final Notice

Deleting your account is permanent and may result in the loss of:

  • simulations
  • profile tracking
  • communication history
  • and behavioural analysis data.
